That’s why proper care is essential, not just to preserve their performance, but to ensure they stay with you season after season.
Caring for your leather hunting boots
Leather boots are made to be durable, flexible, and weather-resistant, but they need regular attention to keep performing at their best.
1. Clean and dry thoroughly
Brush off any mud or dirt and rinse with lukewarm water. Let the boots dry fully before applying care products. Never skip this step.
2. Apply leather oil
Using a cloth or soft brush, apply a thin, even layer of leather oil to nourish the leather and keep it supple.
3. Let them dry naturally
Avoid placing them near direct heat or in front of a fire, because high temperatures can damage the leather. Let them dry in a warm room.
4. Repeat as needed
For regular use, treat your boots once a month. If you're in the field often, aim for weekly care to protect against wear.
5. Bonus: Care for the soles
Using a rubber care spray on the soles adds extra protection, especially during harsh conditions.

Rubber care spray helps keep the soles strong and flexible, especially useful in wet or rugged terrain.
Caring for rubber boots
Rubber boots are a must-have in wet, muddy, or marshy terrain, but even these rugged staples need upkeep to avoid cracking over time.
